What to Expect

This deployment lab teaches the student, start-to-finish, how to deploy a full-hybrid Exchange solution - and how to leverage it to migrate mailboxes to Office 365.

Welcome to Performing a Full-Hybrid Migration from Exchange to Office 365. This lab is intended for IT professionals who have been tasked with migrating mailboxes from an on-prem Exchange organization to Exchange Online via a full-hybrid deployment.

This lab covers planning and preparation of the on-prem environment, preparation of the Office 365 and Exchange Online environment, deployment of the full-hybrid configuration, mailbox migrations, solution validations, DNS cutovers, and even alternate solutions involving third-party spam filters.

Students that complete this lab in its entirety will finish with a complete understanding of the full-hybrid solution, what it offers, and how it’s deployed and managed. Students will also know how to perform mailbox migrations and how to perform a controlled cutover of DNS.

Lab Details

This deployment lab covers planning and preparation of the on-prem environment, preparation of the Office 365 and Exchange Online environment, deployment of the full-hybrid configuration, mailbox migrations, solution validations, DNS cutovers, and even alternate solutions involving third-party spam filters.

  • LAB COMPLETION TIME: 10 HOURS

    Students should expect to complete this deployment lab in approximately 10 hours. Some students will finish sooner, others will finish later.
