Welcome to Migrating VMs from AWS to Azure with Azure Site Recovery. This migration lab is intended for IT professionals who have been tasked with migrating EC2 instances from Amazon AWS to Microsoft Azure. This lab is also intended for IT professionals who simply what to add another skill to their resume.

This migration lab covers the preparations that need to be taken to ensure a successful migration of an Amazon AWS EC2 instance to Microsoft Azure, using Azure Site Recovery. Topics covered include the deployment and preparation of necessary Azure resources, preparation of the AWS environment for migration, Azure preparation, replication of an EC2 instance to Azure with Azure Site Recovery, failover preparation and testing, and then, final migration of an EC2 instance to Azure.

Students that complete this lab in its entirety will finish with a complete understanding of what steps needs to be taken to properly prepare for a migration of an EC2 instance from Amazon AWS to Microsoft Azure. Students will also come away with the necessary knowledge for performing such a migration.

Lab Details

This AWS-to-Azure migration lab covers everything you need to know to ensure a successful migration of an Amazon AWS EC2 instance to Microsoft Azure, using Azure Site Recovery. Topics covered include Azure resource deployment & preparation, infrastructure preparation, VM replication, failover preparation, and final migration.

  • LAB COMPLETION TIME: 8 HOURS

    Students who enroll should expect to complete this VM migration lab in approximately 8 hours. Some students will finish sooner, others will need more time.
